The key to succeeding with people from a different generation is to understand their generational differences and their generation’s unconscious biases.

Equally important is for you to be self-aware of how you differ from a generationally different individual.

To be as successful as possible engaging with them, you need to be skilled at adapting and aligning with their generation’s “Comfort Zone”.

If you do not understand and adapt to their generation, you will unintentionally demonstrate that you are ignoring their important generational values, beliefs, and viewpoints.

As a result, you will mistakenly try to develop a relationship with them according to your “Generational Comfort Zone”. That can be a big mistake.

A generationally-different individual will usually interpret this as you not respecting their generation and you wanting to only do things “your way”.
