To enhance the practical and value-adding aspects of our our training, I visited the largest First Nations reserve in Canada – the Six Nations of the Grand River.
I discussed with the Director of the Grand River Employment and Training Centre the culture of Indigenous Peoples as well as the challenges they experience day-to-day on a reservation.
Human Relationship Skills with Indigenous Peoples is highly relevant to employers in Canada since the Federal Government’s has made a very strong commitment to implement policies, backed by new legislation, to achieve a much stronger partnership of reconciliation, equal opportunity, and mutual respect between Indigenous Peoples and non-Indigenous people in Canada.
