The key to being as successful as possible connecting and developing a successful relationship with someone from a different culture is to have an understanding of the most important aspects of their cultural DNA; how to avoid making cross-cultural mistakes with them; and how to recover successfully when you make a cross-cultural mistake.
The starting point is for you to be self-aware of your own cultural unconscious biases, predispositions, and preferences and how to modify your interaction with a culturally-different individual so that you are align with their “Cultural Comfort Zone”.
If you do not understand their cultural DNA, you will unconsciously try to develop a relationship with them according your own “Cultural Comfort Zone”. That is a big mistake.
A culturally-different individual will interpret you making them feel uncomfortable or affronted as a clear sign that you do not understand them nor do you respect their cultural preferences. You are apparently only interested in do things “your way”.
Their poor experience of engaging with you will significantly limit your success in being trusted and accepted. They will increasingly conclude that you cannot relate to them and engaging with you is a waste of their time.
Our Promise: I will train you how to successfully develop and maintain a successful and lasting relationship with people from different cultures.
